Luke Bryan returns to Pittsburgh, but not Heinz Field

PITTSBURGH — Country music superstar Luke Bryan is returning to Pittsburgh, but he won’t be performing at Heinz Field.

Bryan will play at the First Niagara Pavilion for two nights, July 31 and Aug. 1.

Tickets go on sale Jan. 30.

Bryan’s concert last summer brought thousands to Pittsburgh’s North Shore, where concertgoers left behind a major mess.

In 2013, country star Kenny Chesney’s visit to Heinz Field made headlines and sparked controversy after parking lots near and around the stadium were trashed by tailgaters and concertgoers.

City officials responded to the massive mess by establishing new rules and guidelines.

In 2014, despite Chesney’s absence, tailgaters and concertgoers returned and caused similar damage following a Bryan concert.
Chesney returns to Heinz Field on May 30.
