Man crashes truck in Hickory Twp., pulls gun on emergency responders

HICKORY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man is facing charges after he pulled out a gun on emergency responders who were checking on his crashed vehicle Saturday morning.

Police said Jed Frazier, 25, of Corpus Cristi, Texas, appeared to be unconscious after his pickup truck crashed into a field near McDowell Road in Hickory Township, Lawrence County.

Emergency Medical Services reported that Frazier locked himself inside the truck and refused treatment.

State police said troopers knocked on the truck's window in an attempt to wake him. That's when Frazier brandished the gun.

A flash bang grenade was used to get Frazier out of the truck once additional law enforcement arrived at the scene, officials said.

He is charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and DUI, among other charges.
