BENTLEYVILLE, Pa. — A man led police on a foot chase through the Bentleyville Giant Eagle on Thursday, causing commotion at the supermarket.
According to police, sheriff’s deputies made an attempt to talk with Christian Hollenbeck, who works at the store.
Cpl. Konek told Channel 11 News that Hollenbeck “owed some money, so deputies were going to take him outside and talk with him.”
Konek said Hollenbeck then took off around the produce area of the store and eventually hid in a freezer.
Officers were eventually able to take Hollenbeck into custody. One officer was injured during the confrontation.
Hollenbeck was taken to the Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.
