Air Force pararescueman Michael Maroney has spent 10 years looking for a little girl he rescued from a rooftop in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and, with the help of a high school student from Michigan, the pair will finally be reunited, according to People.com.
The little girl, now identified as 13-year-old LeShay Brown, was found living in Mississippi. She will be reunited later this month with the man who saved her so many years ago.

Back in 2005, the unidentified girl whose smile made a lasting impression on Maroney was about 3 years old, one of a family of seven people that included the mother, father and five children.
Maroney lifted the family members one by one to the safety of an evacuation helicopter but never got the family’s or the little girl’s name.
He never gave up the hunt, however, and continued to post messages on social media looking for the girl.
It was only earlier this year that Andrew Goard, a 16-year-old student from Michigan with a fascination for pararescue jumpers, launched his own page dedicated to helping Maroney find the girl.
Hundreds of news outlets picked up the story, which eventually led to the girl being identified.
Brown, who wants to be a lawyer or basketball player when she grows up, told People.com that she can't wait to reunite with the man who saved her life more than a decade ago.
