PITTSBURGH — A man was rushed into surgery after he was found shot in Pittsburgh’s Strip District overnight.
A Pittsburgh Public Safety spokesperson says officers responded to a reported shooting outside Real Luck Cafe (Lucky’s) on Penn Avenue around 1:45 a.m.
Arriving first responders found a man outside the building shot in the abdomen. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition and immediately taken into surgery.
The spokesperson said a male suspect ran from the area. A witness was taken to headquarters for questioning.
The area was processed for evidence, and shell casings were recovered. The investigation is ongoing.
