Man in Spider-Man mask robs Coraopolis bank

CORAOPOLIS, Pa. — Police in Coraopolis said a man in a Spider-Man mask robbed a bank Tuesday morning.

Investigators said the masked man fled on foot and it was not immediately known how much money he got away with.

“Basically, he just said, ‘I’m here for the cash,’” Coraopolis police Chief Alan DeRusso said.

Officers described the robber as a white man, wearing a dark leather jacket and the Spider-Man mask.

“He never brandished a weapon. He jumped over the counter and was in and out in less than a minute,” DeRusso said. “Just like Spider-Man.”

No injuries were reported.

“We saw the police cars sitting there and they had some of it taped off. Then the police officer came over and asked if we had a camera,” said neighbor Christina Lewis.

Anyone with information on the robbery is asked to contact police.
