Man to stand trial for allegedly leaving children alone in hotel room

WILKINS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man accused of endangering the welfare of children by leaving them alone at a hotel was in court on Monday.

Glenn Wheaton was held for court on all charges.  Wheaton's attorney argued his client is guilty of only poor judgment.

"It's a huge misunderstanding," said defense attorney Victor Vouga.

Five children, ages 13 and under, were found unattended in a Comfort Inn hotel room in Wilkins Township, police said.  According to police, Wheaton returned to his room drunk.

Wheaton is free on bond.
