Our condolences are with Pro Football Hall of Famer and Aliquippa native Mike Ditka as he mourns the death of his mother.
According to multiple media reports, 93-year-old Charlotte Ditka passed away Wednesday at the Beaver Meadows Senior Care Center in Beaver.
In addition to Mike, she is survived by sons David and Ashton and daughter Mary Anne Stowe, 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, visitation will be at Darroch Memorial Chapel in Aliquippa. Visiting hours are 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday, and a funeral Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at St. Titus Church in Aliquippa.
Tom Waddle, a former member of the Chicago Bears and current radio host for ESPN, was one of many sports figures sharing their condolences with the Ditka family on social media Thursday.
