Motorcyclist killed in Route 28 crash in O'Hara

O'HARA TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Sewickley man was killed when his motorcycle crashed on Route 28 in O'Hara Township Saturday night.

George Williams, 65, died in the crash that occurred in the southbound lanes of the roadway, near the Blawnox onramp from Freeport Road, about 8:30 p.m.

Police said Williams' motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve when it went off the road and hit a sign before sliding through a grass median and striking a guardrail.

Williams was thrown from the motorcycle, police said. He was taken to UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
