The popular water steps at North Shore Riverfront Park reopen Saturday.
Officials said the steps reopened a week earlier than expected.
The steps were closed since June 6 because workers had to replace submersible light fixtures a homeless man stole and sold for scrap metal.
Officials said they put extra workers on the job so the project could be finished ahead of schedule and reopen for summertime visitors.
