WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — One person was killed when his car slammed into a tree Friday morning.

The accident happened oalong Lowber Road in Sewickley Township, Westmoreland County.

The scene is near Yough High School.
The victim was identified as 31-year-old John Lash of Lowber.
The Westmoreland County Coroner's office said Lash lost control of his Kia Soul, causing it to leave the road and hit a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
