PITTSBURGH — Roscoe, the only surviving dog of the five found inside a Beechview home last month, is going up for adoption on Wednesday, according to the Animal Rescue League.
Public safety officials in Allegheny County said 25-year-old Taura Krill McCormick faces five counts of animal cruelty and one count of harboring a nuisance in connection with the incident.

Roscoe, an emaciated pit bull, was removed from the home, and has since been nursed back to health.

"Roscoe was the lone survivor, presumably because of an ability to sustain himself on garbage & toilet water," the Animal Rescue League and Wildlife Center wrote on its Facebook page.
