Penn Hills principal accused of abuse at home

PENN HILLS, Pa. — A Penn Hills middle school principal is accused of abuse at home.

Dr. Davaun Barnett’s wife has filed a protection from abuse order against him.

According to parents, they received a letter that Barnett has taken a leave of absence from Linton Middle School.

Venus More, a grandparent of a Linton student, told Channel 11’s Julie Fine that her granddaughter seemed very upset by the news.

“I guess they all love Dr. Burnett,” said More. “We were all shocked.”

The Penn Hills School District is not commenting on the matter.
