PITTSBURGH (AP) — The University of Pittsburgh said the administrations of two regional campuses will be combined to cut costs.
The school said in a statement Monday that steep cuts in state funding forced the decision to merge the Bradford and Titusville administrations. The schools were founded in 1963.
Senior Vice Chancellor Patricia E. Beeson said Bradford will be the administrative center for both schools.
The Bradford campus serves about 1,600 students and is about 160 miles northeast of Pittsburgh, near the New York border.
The Titusville campus serves about 500 students and is about 100 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Beeson didn't say how much money the move will save or if jobs will be cut.
