Pittsburgh-area fugitive arrested after shooting that cost man leg

PITTSBURGH — A man on Pennsylvania's most-wanted fugitives list was tracked down in Atlanta.

Michael Kimbrough, 35, is accused of shooting a man in Aliquippa in Nov. 2012. The victim lost a leg as a result of the shooting.

Authorities said Kimbrough mistakenly believed the victim, Robert Smith III, had robbed him.

The Tribune-Review reported Kimbrough was taken into custody without incident Tuesday and is awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.
