Pittsburgh-based startup revamping gas incentive program for rideshare, delivery drivers

(WFTV Staff)

PITTSBURGH — With gas averaging more than $5 a gallon, a Pittsburgh-based startup is revamping its gas incentive program.

The makers of the “Gridwise: Gig-Driver Assistant” app for Uber, Lyft and other contract workers announced it will take off $0.50 a gallon for those enrolled in the program.

Previously, the discount was $0.02.

The startup told our partners at Pittsburgh Business Times that you need to order a Gridwise Gas card, which can be used at major gas stations to get the discount.
