Pittsburgh Steeler TJ Watt suffers upper-body injury during hard-fought game with Cincinnati Bengals

CINCINNATI — The Pittsburgh Steelers earned a hard-fought victory against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, but linebacker T.J. Watt suffered an injury in the fourth quarter that could be costly for the team.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Watt was taken to the locker room with a pec injury. Schefter said the Steelers believe that Watt tore his pec and that he is expected to undergo scans to confirm the injury on Monday.

After the game, head coach Mike Tomlin would only say that the Steelers are evaluating him for an upper-body injury.

A torn pectoral muscle could be a potentially season-ending injury.

Before he was injured, Watt had a sack and an interception.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates as more information becomes available.
