PNC is shuttering another 30 branches across its footprint, according to a new round of regulatory filings.
While three are in Pennsylvania, those pending closures are in the eastern part of the commonwealth and the 10-county Pittsburgh metro isn’t affected this time.
It takes disclosed locations PNC is cutting so far this year to 126. That easily beats 105 during the first half of 2022. Moreover, the 30 will close on May 19, so it’s possible that additional pruning could happen before June 30. PNC has not said how many branches it expects to close in 2023, nationally or locally. And it continues to add branches, though these are outpaced by cuts.
