PITTSBURGH — Customers are less satisfied with national banks, especially those customers who are under the age of 40, according to a newly released study.
According to the J.D. Power 2022 U.S. National Banking Satisfaction Study, overall customer satisfaction slipped 4 points on a 1,000-point scale, compared with 2021, and down 9 points from 2020, “led by steep declines among customers under 40.”
Capital One ranked No. 1 for a third consecutive year with an overall satisfaction score of 694. Chase (678) was second and TD Bank (663) third.
PNC was fourth, at 658. Part of Pittsburgh-based PNC Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE:PNC), it had ranked second last year with a score of 684, and third, at 680, in 2020.
