Police: Armed woman robs Shadyside bank

PITTSBURGH — Police are looking for an armed woman who they said robbed a Shady Side bank Thursday afternoon.

Authorities said the robbery was reported at the First National Bank on South Aiken Avenue just before 3 p.m.

According to police, a black female in her 30s, standing about 5 feet 9 inches tall, wearing a heavy multi-colored scarf, black coat, black pants and white shoes walked into the bank, brandished a handgun and demanded money from the tellers.

The woman was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.

No injuries were reported during the robbery.
