PITTSBURGH — Police said a woman accused of driving under the influence led officers on a chase through Pittsburgh's Garfield and Stanton Heights neighborhoods early Thursday morning.
Investigators said the woman took off when police tried to pull her over near the intersection of Center and Crawford streets in the Hill District.
The chase ended when the driver crashed into a tree, police said.
Investigators said they had to shock the woman with a Taser to subdue her and take her into custody.
Police said Noreda Young, 43, of Beltzhoover, is facing several charges including careless driving, false identification to law enforcement, DUI, resisting arrest, and fleeing from police.
