PITTSBURGH — Several homeowners in Brighton Heights discovered that their homes were ransacked and robbed just days before the Christmas holiday.
Amanda Barberio and her fiancé said they returned to their Orchlee Street home last week to discover that several things were missing.
After contacting police, Barberio said she discovered that several other homes in the area were also hit.
"It's pretty scary, and I wonder if any of these are related. It could have been the same people," Barberio said.
Investigators said they made arrests in three other burglaries on Brighton Road and Richbarn Street, but they're still searching for those involved in Barberio's case. Detectives said they don't think the burglaries are tied together.
"It sort of ruined Christmas for us honestly," Barberio said. "We're just waiting for something to click. Hopefully the people will be caught."
Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
