PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Steelers have agreed to a two-year contract extension with backup quarterback Mitch Trubisky, general manager Omar Khan said Thursday in an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show.

The move will keep Trubisky as Pickett’s backup through the end of the 2024 season.

And also lower his cap hit for the 2023 season

“We feel good about our quarterback room,” Khan said. “We feel really good about Mitch Trubisky in the role he’s in and he feels good about it. We’ve added Mason Rudolph. So we’re really excited about our QB room.”
