The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to re-sign veteran wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling, according to a report by Mike DeFabo of The Athletic.

The Steelers will initially sign Valdes-Scantling to their practice squad, though his deep familiarity with both quarterback Aaron Rodgers and head coach Mike McCarthy should help him adjust to a new team quickly.

The Los Angeles Chargers released Valdes-Scantling on Saturday. He did not need to clear waivers and immediately became a free agent.
