Steelers vs. Raiders: NBC’s Scary Good Sunday Night watch party at Tom’s Watch Bar

PITTSBURGH — NBC Sports launched a series of Sunday Night Football viewing parties across the country that will help ease the “Sunday scaries.”

“Beer and the Steelers is the cure for the Sunday scaries,” said Steelers fan Sofia Smith.

In a matchup against the Raiders, Pittsburgh Steelers fans packed into Tom’s Watch bar on the North Shore for a viewing party unlike any other.

“NBC Sports is here in Pittsburgh for Sunday Night Football on NBC and Peacock, and we’re celebrating the fact that Sunday Night Football is the cure to the Sunday scaries,” said Jordan Coyle, who works in marketing at NBC Sports.

NBC Sports kicked off the ‘Scary Good Sunday Night’ series of events to celebrate with fans and punt those worries down the field.

“A lot of times people have Sunday scaries, so you play on Sunday night, you’re looking forward to Sunday Night Football and any time I can watch a Steelers game, I’m excited,” said Steelers fan Dan Baux. “It makes my night so much better.”

Fans will be able to enjoy giveaways, photo ops, special guest appearances and a sweepstakes with a grand prize of an all-expense paid trip for two to a Sunday Night Football during the 2024-25 season.

They also had a chance to capture memorable moments at a 360-photo booth.

Newlyweds Anthony and Sofia Smith just walked down the aisle on Saturday, Sept. 23, and couldn’t leave the black and gold out of their wedding.

“Everything has to do with the Steelers around here, I mean look at this,” Sofia Smith said, pointing to her and her husband’s jerseys. “Of course, we love Pittsburgh. We wanted it to be part of our special day. We had a Terrible Towel waving around during our reception.”

Meanwhile, fans are keeping their fingers crossed for a stellar season and are not thinking about work come Monday.

“Prime time’s always great, so I look forward to Kenny on the big screen,” Baux said.

The Scary Good Sunday Night watch parties run through Week 6 of the NFL season.
