None — CARNEGIE, Pa. -- Police have released surveillance video of a robbery inside a popular Chinese restaurant in Carnegie.
According to police, the thief stole a tip jar from Don Don on East Main Street.
Carnegie Police Chief Jeff Harbin said the video shows the man walk in the restaurant, pretend to look at a menu, sit down and then make his move.
“You can see him lifting the tip jar and then sitting back down and placing it underneath his sweatshirt,” Harbin said. “Money is money, and that little bit of money means a lot for the people who work there.”
Sam Chang, who owns Don Don, said he can’t believe anyone would be desperate enough to steal $30 worth of tips.
“I’ve never seen the kid before,” Chang said.
Investigators are asking anyone with information on the robbery to contact police.
