Technical issue closes I-279/579 HOV lanes

PITTSBURGH — The HOV lanes on I-279/579 are closed because of a technical issue.

PennDOT announced the issue and HOV lane closure on Friday.

The agency says the HOV lanes are closed “until further notice.”

PennDOT will provide additional information ahead of the HOV lanes reopening.
