Thousands of power outages reported as storms start in Western Pa.

PITTSBURGH — As strong storms start moving through western Pennsylvania, power outages are increasing.

As of 1 p.m., Duquesne Light Company was reporting over 2,000 outages, all in Allegheny County.

You can report outages to DLC through the company’s website or mobile app

As of 1 p.m., West Penn Power was reporting fewer than 300 outages in the region.

Outage reports to FirstEnergy can be made by calling 1-888-544-4877, texting “OUT” to 544487 or clicking the “outages” link on the company’s website.
