SHARPSBURG — Two people are in critical condition following a two-vehicle accident on Main Street in Sharpsburg, police said.
According to Allegheny County, the accident happened at 1600 Main Street in Sharpsburg in front of the Empowerment Project Sharpsburg building.

An adult female victim was in one vehicle and an adult male was in the other vehicle. They were transported to area hospitals
One child was inside the building at the time of the crash. That child is okay.
I spoke with someone inside the Youth Empowerment Project of Sharpsburg. All the children are fine. One child was inside at the time of the accident. The other children there are being taken care of by volunteers.

911 said the accident was called in at 3:52 p.m..
There’s no word on what caused the accident.
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner was on the scene.
