• WARNING: Several people report prowler stalking walkers on popular Washington Co. trail


    WASHINGTON COUNTY, Pa. - Police in Washington County are looking for a man who is stalking people along a popular walking trail.

    Authorities said several people have reported a man hiding in trees and following them on the Washington County Panhandle Trail.

    Investigators said the man hasn’t made contact with anyone, but he was allegedly seen making a threatening gesture to someone living nearby who spotted him.

    McDonald Borough police are warning walkers to use caution, walk with other people and carry a phone in case you need to call for help.

    Channel 11’s Cara Sapida is talking to police and trying to find some people who have seen the prowler. Look for her story coming up later today on Channel 11 News beginning at 5 p.m.
