UNIONTOWN, Pa. — An arrest warrant was issued Wednesday for a contractor accused of stealing expensive jewelry from a Uniontown couple.
Police said the couple hired Brian Levi Upton, 34, of Connellsville, to complete some minor spackling and painting inside their home.

Authorities said he completed the work in approximately three days but stole 98 rings worth more than $30,000 from the homeowners
According to police, Upton pawned many of the rings at Kathryn’s Jewelry in Connellsville for a few hundred dollars each.
Upton allegedly told police that he needed money to fuel a marijuana habit.
As of 8:15 p.m. Wednesday, he was not in police custody.
