The concert was held at the Quality Inn Grand Ballroom from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., with different bands playing each hour.

Chief McIntire’s family was in attendance.

Money was raised through raffles. Some prizes were pieces of art and a Penguins jersey.

“For the past couple of months we’ve been having events like this,” said Matt Black, a relative of McIntire’s. “It’s been tremendous.”

The community is hoping to continue to hold similar events for years to come.

“The community is really out here supporting all of this. It’s a great turnout,” said Black.
