Man walking with shotgun killed by police

A man walking with a shotgun Friday afternoon along a street in New Kensington was shot and killed by police, according to investigators.

Police said Marc Morgan, 62, was found on Center Avenue. Officers said they started firing after Morgan pointed the shotgun at them.

He was pronounced dead at the scene near the KFC restaurant.

The shooting is being investigated by the Westmoreland County Coroner’s Office and the Westmoreland County District Attorney’s Office.
