Man accused of armed robberies on back-to-back days

UNIONTOWN, Pa. — A man was arrested after police said he committed armed robberies on back-to-back days throughout Uniontown.

Police said Jeremy Sullivan robbed French’s Dry Cleaners on Mt. Vernon Avenue and a Family Dollar store in town.

“She thought he was a customer, went up to wait on him. He leaned over the counter, handed her the bag, pulled the gun out and said ‘Give me the cash.’ And she what she should’ve done. She just opened the drawer, gave him the cash,” said owner of French’s Dry Cleaners, Bill Kittridge.

Less than two miles down the road, police said Sullivan then hit the Family Dollar. He was tracked down seven hours later and arrested with a backpack full of clothes. Police said he allegedly used the clothes to commit one of the robberies.
