BUTLER, Pa. — A Butler house thought to be vacant by neighbors turned out to be the location of a fully operational meth lab.
Ron Tejchman and Nikki West were arrested this week by agents with the state Attorney General’s Office for allegedly running the meth lab out of the Third Avenue home.
People who live nearby told Channel 11’s Amy Marcinkiewicz that they thought the house was vacant. But after the owner called 911 when lights were seen on, the meth lab was uncovered.
“I have kids and I have grandkids. To find out this was going on right next door, I'm not happy. And this is dangerous. They could have blown up the whole neighborhood,” neighbor Mike Losser said.
Butler Mayor Tom Donaldson said the community needs to be on the lookout.
“You need to be vigilant and need to watch out for each other, and you need to call stuff in when it doesn't seem right,” Donaldson said.
