ROSEBURG, Ore. — A deadly shooting at a community college in Roseburg, Oregon, Thursday hit close to home for former Steelers safety Troy Polamalu.
His cousin, Brandon Polamalu, teaches at the campus, according to the Oregonian.
The Oregonian reported that he sent his mom a text, saying, "There's a shooting on campus. I'm OK mom."

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown said the gunman in the shooting, which killed 13 and injured at least 20 others, was a 20-year-old man.
Troy Polamalu, who retired from the NFL in April, graduated from Douglas High School in nearby Winston, Oregon, according to the Oregonian.
