A Georgia church reportedly has banned a 92-year-old woman because she hasn't been tithing.
BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — According to WALB-TV, First African Baptist Church in Bainbridge sent Josephine King, who attended the church for five decades, a notice saying she "is no longer considered a member" because she "has shown non-support" financially and physically. The letter was signed by Derrick Mike, the church's senior pastor, the station said.

Gerald Simmons, King's nephew, said his aunt has given money to the church in the past, but her attendance dropped off recently because she was sick.
Others have received similar letters, Simmons added.
"You shouldn't chase the individuals down," Simmons told WALB. "You shouldn't do that. If that's the case, you're money-hungry."
WALB said it contacted the church for comment but hasn't heard back.
