Pittsburgh Steelers have best set of ‘triplets' heading into 2015

PITTSBURGH — The NFL is full of offensive talent -- Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Andrew Luck, Dez Bryant, Calvin Johnson, Matt Forte, Marshawn Lynch and DeMarco Murray, to name just a few.

But the Pittsburgh Steelers' trio of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, running back Le'Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown has been ranked as the best set of triplets in the NFL heading into the 2015 season, according to NFL.com.

Roethlisberger is coming off perhaps the best offensive season of his 11-year career (4,952 yards and 32 TDs).

The two-time Super Bowl champ signed a massive new contract this offseason that will likely ensure that he spends his entire career wearing Black & Gold.

Brown led the NFL in receptions and yards in 2014, and continues to evolve into one of the game’s most explosive offensive weapons.

Brown’s 129 receptions, 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns last year were all team highs.

Bell showed in 2014 why the Steelers were so high on him coming out of Michigan State.

The 48th pick of the 2013 NFL Draft led the AFC in rushing in 2014 with 1,361 yards on 290 attempts. He added 854 yards and three touchdowns on 83 catches.

Here's what the article said of the Steelers' trio:

<span>"Over the last two seasons, Brown has been, at worst, the second-best WR in the NFL (239 receptions!). In 2014, Bell was, at worst, the second-best RB, while Roethlisberger had, at worst, the third-best season among QBs. Add 'em all up, and it's tough to argue anything other than this trio* being, at worst, the best.</span>

<em>*As we learned in last January's<span> </span><span>wild-card game vs. Baltimore</span>, removing one of said trio limits the production of the remaining two.</em><span>"</span>

The rest of the top 5:

3. Seattle Seahawks – Russell Wilson, Marshawn Lynch and Jimmy Graham
4. Indianapolis Colts – Andrew Luck, Frank Gore and T.Y. Hilton
