MORRIS TOWNSHIP, Pa.,None — State police and county prosecutors in Washington County said a shooting originally reported as a possible suicide has become a homicide investigation.
Washington County Coroner Tim Warco said James Leroy Durbin, 43, died of a single gunshot wound to the head. Durbin's body was found just before 5 p.m. Tuesday in an Elwood Day Road home in Morris Township.
Steven Fischer, the chief of staff for the county district attorney's office, said investigators are convinced the original report is wrong, though he won't say why. Fischer also isn't saying whether police found a weapon at the scene, whom it belongs to or why they now believe someone wanted to kill Durbin.
