Three people were arrested early Monday morning after about two pounds of raw heroin were found inside a hidden compartment in a vehicle that was pulled over, police said.
Angelo Everett, Ikea Lewis and India Bryant were arrested along the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Mount Pleasant Township, police said. Their vehicle was pulled over for a tinted window violation when the heroin was discovered.
According to a criminal complaint, an officer approached the vehicle and “immediately detected the odor of marijuana” and noticed “several other indicators of criminal activity.”
During a search of the vehicle, the hidden compartment was discovered in the front passenger seat, the complaint said. The raw heroin -- about 1 kilo -- was found inside.
