Police Searching For South Side Burger King Robbery Suspect

PITTSBURGH,None — The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Robbery Squad is asking for the public's help to identify a man they said robbed the Burger King restaurant in the South Side.

On July 14, police said the suspect entered the restaurant along East Carson Street and waited in line as if he was going to place an order.

When the cashier opened the register to ring up the current customer's order, police said the suspect approached the cashier and threatened him as if he had a concealed weapon.

The cashier reported to police that the suspect demanded the money from the cash register. The suspect then reached into the register grabbing an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5'6" with a stocky build in his mid 30's, wearing plaid shorts and a white t-shirt.

Robbery detectives are asking that if anyone can provide information regarding this suspect to call (412) 323-7151. Callers can remain anonymous.
