Report: Hilary Duff Wants Husband, Pittsburgh Penguin Mike Comrie Traded

PITTSBURGH,None — A report that actress and singer Hilary Duff wants husband and Pittsburgh Penguin Mike Comrie to be traded is the talk of town. Local radio DJs discussed it on their morning shows on Monday.

This comes after E! News reported that Duff wishes Comrie would be traded, so he could be closer to home. Los Angeles, Calif., is home for the two. Click here to read the article.

According to E! News, Duff was speaking to reporters about Carrie Underwood's hubby, Mike Fisher, when the news slipped out.

"I'm a little envious of her right now because he just got traded to Nashville," Duff joked to reporters. "Like, really? I'm like, 'Come on! I'll take San Jose. I'll take any place closer than Pittsburgh!'"

Duff added she enjoys our city.

"I do love Pittsburgh, and the team is really good," said Duff.

See & Be Seen believes Duff was joking about the trade and understands that she probably misses Comrie when he's not in L.A. That would be tough. Some people on message boards and social networking sites see if differently.

"I think she should have thought about that before she married a hockey player," a person posted on WPXI See & Be Seen's Facebook wall.

On Monday afternoon, Duff tweeted "OK! This is getting crazy. No sneaky motives to get Mike out of Pitt everybody! He loves it there and can't wait to get back on the ice!" and "It's a shame that me making a joke in jest, people can twist to sound so negative! p.s. love the burgh too :)"

See & Be Seen has spotted Duff at a couple places around town, including The Sonoma Grille downtown, Right by Nature in the Strip District and, of course, at Consol Energy Center for some Penguins games.

A friend of See & Be Seen, who is friends with Duff, has said the star hasn't been in Pittsburgh a ton because of her book tour and having L.A. as her home-base. Our contact added that Duff is down-to-earth and a great friend.

Comrie underwent hip surgery in December and is expected to be back on the ice soon.

Underwood's man was recently traded to the Nashville Predators from the Ottawa Senators.
