Russell Crowe returning to Pittsburgh to reportedly shoot new movie

Actor Russell Crowe is reportedly returning to Pittsburgh to shoot a new movie in the spring.

Producers told the Pittsburgh Business Times the Academy Award-winning actor will be joined by "Breaking Bad" co-star Aaron Paul and actress Amanda Seyfried.

The Business Times reports the movie is called “Fathers and Daughters," and the plot centers on a father-daughter love affair set in New York.

Crowe is no stranger to the city; he spent a few months in Pittsburgh shooting the 2010 movie “The Next Three Days.”

The Business times said the “Fathers and Daughters” production team is scouting locations, that shooting is expected to begin in Pittsburgh this April and that it will take three months.

Producer Nicolas Chartier said Pittsburgh was chosen because producers wanted a location near the East Coast, photos of locations and they wanted to take advantage of Pennsylvania’s film tax credits, according to the Times.

Gabriele Muccinov is reportedly set to direct the film.
