Suspects In McKees Rocks Homicide Get Trial

MCKEES ROCKS, Pa.,None — The case against two suspects accused of shooting a McKees Rocks man will go to trial.

Malachi Urbini, 20, was shot and killed on May 8. Urbini and the suspects, Taivon Cunningham, 19, and Shilee Dixson, 18, met that day to trade an iPad for drugs, officials said.

Both are charged with homicide, robbery and criminal conspiracy.

Defense attorney Paul Iannetti said he can’t believe the case made it to court.

“There is no evidence linking my client to this crime,” Iannetti said. “No fingerprint evidence, ballistic evidence, no anything other than statements made to an officer when nobody else was around.”
