PITTSBURGH — The Pittsburgh Business Times is launching the second annual listing of the Power 100, a guide to the region’s most influential business leaders.
To be clear, the Power 100 is not a ranking, but rather a guide that aims to reflect who are the most influential people at this historic moment in time.
The editorial staff of the Business Times selected those who made the list, with input from our readers and the community at large who offered suggestions. Narrowing it down was a daunting task, and we considered hundreds of names and spent hours debating and crafting the list.
It does not include elected officials because by the nature of their office, it can be assumed they are influential. It does, however, include some appointed officials. We also limited the list to those who currently reside in the Pittsburgh metro area.
While this year’s Power 100 is finalized, there were many people that are playing significant roles, and many more will undoubtedly emerge in the next year. We plan to do this again next January, and if you have anyone you’d like to suggest, please email me at jbeahm@bizjournals.com.
Here are some of those listed in this year’s top 100:
- Kevin Acklin - COO and general counsel Pittsburgh Penguins
- Dan Adamski - senior managing director JL
- Esther Bush - president and CEO Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh
- LeRoy Ball - president and CEO Koppers Holdings Inc.
