911 outage resolved in multiple counties

BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. — Service has been restored to several local counties after people were not able to dial 911 from a landline or cellphone.

This includes Greene, Butler, Clarion and Venango counties.

A total of 13 counties were reporting an impact to 911 services for much of the day Thursday, including Adams, Beaver, Bedford, Butler, Clarion, Cumberland, Franklin, Fulton, Greene, Juniata, Mifflin, Perry, and a portion of Somerset.

“Our technicians have restored 911 services in all the Pennsylvania counties that were impacted by a recent fiber cut near Philadelphia. We appreciate your patience and apologize for the disruption,” read a statement from Lumen.
