Allegheny County Library Association launches new website

The Allegheny County Library Association unveiled a new website on Tuesday, which improves access for Allegheny County residents.

The website, at aclalibaries.org, allows visitors to navigate online resources through its Library Catalog and eLibrary, offering downloadable and streaming entertainment as well as various resources and reference materials, according to a news release.

“While our community libraries are currently not open to full capacity, they still offer a plethora of resources and programs, and ACLA’s website is your gateway to libraries’ information and entertainment,” said Marilyn Jenkins, executive director of the Allegheny County Library Association. “We encourage individuals to begin exploring the many resources available online and find out how to connect with your local library through the interactive map.”

Online visitors can also make a donation to their library of choice, sign up for a free library card and learn more about events and programs through the website calendar.

The ACLA website also features countywide employment opportunities alongside The Talent Bank. Through The Talent Bank, ACLA is looking to recruit new leaders for local library boards and committees. It is essential that library leadership reflects the richness and diversity of our communities.
