Annual Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood sweater drive spreads warmth for 21st year

PITTSBURGH — The 21st Mister Rogers' Neighborhood Sweater Drive is underway at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh.

Through Dec. 17, you can donate your new or gently used sweaters of all sizes.

Even though the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh is temporarily closed because of COVID-19, you can still drop off sweaters outside of the museum on the ramp leading up to the front door.

You can now customize your WPXI News App to receive Allegheny County news alerts. CLICK HERE to find out how.

Over the past 20 years, the sweater drive has collected and distributed more than 42,000 sweaters for families in need through southwestern Pennsylvania.

Organizations partnered with this year’s sweater drive include the Presbyterian Churches of the Tri-State Area, Homeless Children’s Education Fund and Community Human Services.

For more information, you can call the Sweater Donation Hotline at (412) 322-5058, ext. 363 or email hi@pittsburghkids.org.
