PITTSBURGH — A fight broke out between two bald eagles in the nest in Pittsburgh’s Hays neighborhood.
The eagle dad had left the nest. When he returned Tuesday morning, there was a younger eagle checking things out.

The older eagle became territorial and pummeled the intruding younger one out of the nest.
“Adult eagles are very territorial at their nest, which is to only be used for raising young,” Doug Bergman, a Pennsylvania Game Commission warden, told Channel 11’s news exchange partners at TribLIVE.
