Butler County mall to be site of new vaccination clinic

CENTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Clearview Mall in Center Township, Butler County will be the site of a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic for Butler Health System.

Starting April 14, the clinic will move into the former Sears location.

“We are putting through 1,600 people per day now,” said chief nursing officer Karen Allen.

Allen said it’s leading to major congestion. The hospital’s parking lot is always packed. The mall, however, offers plenty of space, a main reason they’re moving the clinic.

“It’s very accessible off of Route 8, off of 422. You can get there,” Allen said.

She said there may be a dramatic increase in vaccine doses available and they want to be prepared. Anyone in Butler County who falls under the state’s Phase 1A criteria can get the vaccine through Butler Health System.
